Al-Mukhtariya

On March 7, 2025, extremist groups supported by the new military leadership entered the village of Al-Mukhtariya in a severe and tragic escalation. Over 128 Alawite civilians, including the elderly, women, and children, were martyred in brutal and horrific summary executions. Field reports and human rights committees described the cold-blooded liquidation of residents after confirming their identities based on their sectarian background. The attacking groups did not stop there; most homes and properties were subjected to systematic burning and total destruction, forcing the remaining families into forced displacement under harsh humanitarian conditions, leaving behind a history of coexistence.
