Qardaha

Qardaha and its mountainous highlands experienced a brutal military campaign in March 2025. An estimated 150 martyrs were recorded as armed groups besieged this mountain stronghold. The difficult terrain, which traditionally offered protection, turned into a trap for thousands of civilians. Reports detailed intense artillery bombardment and the targeting of rural communities, leading to widespread destruction of homes and historical sites in the area.
